Hi,

came across this forum on the way to the therapy forums, and thought I would just tell you about a long-standing Tai Chi class .

I've been going for 5 or 6 years, and we do the 18, then a series of repeating the basic moves up and down the room, and then the forms we have learned, usually in this order (All are "national simplified" style, simplified being IMO a bit of a misnomer!):

88
12 (both ways)
36
48
teaching space
24 (both ways)

My wife and I have "done" the 12, 36, 24 and are learning the 48.

All welcome! (not all at the same time, though), for further details, please PM me

Tai Chi classes

Hi
Being a new member to HP, I cannot use the PM facility as yet. I was wondering if the Tai Chi classes are still held in Blackrod, and if they are, could you please give me some information about the them?

Hello sj22 and welcome to Healthypages 🙂

Details such as venue [ie street addresses] and any costs involved cannot be posted on the open forums, unfortunately, so it will be a case of you waiting a few days and making some more posts before the auto-moderation on all new members is lifted and you can use the PM system.

Sorry for any inconvenience 😮 though hopefully a reply might indicate whether or not these classes are ongoing.

An update:

The class is still taking place, and Andrew tells me it has a webpage on google sites with all the details on.
Searching for "Tai Chi in Blackrod" brings it up (as well as this topic!)

I have completed the 48, and am well into the 88 now. My wife decided to stick at the 48, so reads a book while I struggle on! I have finished the moves, and now working on the continuity and style.
