Hi there...i was wondering if anyone knows about very good qigong classes in London...i can only find a lot of Tai Qi classes but not Qigong...thanks for your help!;)
RE: Qigong classes london?
Hi
I suggest you look at the register of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain. But I also feel you should look in China Town. There are very good Teachers there. You can ask in shops and restaurants. Good Teachers hide themselves away until the students find them. When the student is ready the teacher appears!
RE: Qigong classes london?
Where about in London are you? I can recommend one if you're in the Kingston area or close to there.

RE: Qigong classes london?
also try taichifinder, thats good for finding stuff: [link= http://www.taichifinder.co.uk ]www.taichifinder.co.uk[/link]
one of my students has just moved "home" to North London and has found it difficult to find qigong classes; plenty of TC...which is what he's had to fall back on.
To learn Qigong to improve health, Health Qigong Federation UK regularly organises Qigong demonstrations by Qigong masters from China. You can find out dates and locations of these events at

Hi, I wondered if you have found any qigong classes as I come across the same problem you wrote above.
Thanks
Lam Kam Chuen teaches both Taiji and Qigong (mainly standing pole and stepping I think). He is highly regarded and has classes in Waterloo.
I'm sure Bruce Frantzis organisation has teachers in London too. Check out Energy Arts website for class information.
Good luck,
M
Thanks very much!
Hi there, i thought i would just mention the fact the qigong is actually only 'energy work' which is found in all of taiji (quan) movements. Taiji directly incorporates qigong. Therefore if you find a good taiji teacher then you simultaneously find a good qigong teacher.
Pete.
Hi Pete
I am taking Tai Chi classes, but would like to still have seperate Chi Gong lessons. I have found someone though.
Thanx anyway.
ok...do you mean that you wanted to learn some other seperate set of gigong practice along side your taiji classes? I am glad you have found a teacher. But this guy has a really good course on offer, i am thinking on training at his college.

O dear I have just noticed that this thread started in March! oh well never mind.

Any takers for Qi Gong in Bromley? we could do with some more members. How is it that everyone whats to do Tai Chi which is about 400 years old and not Qi Gong which is about 3,000 years old. Out of Qi Gong came Tai chi, or so I am told.

I learned Qi Gong from Zhexing Wang back in 1988-94 and felt so grateful. If you have the opportunity to study with him you will not regret it.

Google is your friend
I'd start my search in Google for "qigong london". I would also check your local gyms and town halls and church halls.
Youtube also has a wealth of instructional videos. I'd personally recomend Dr Roger Jahnke but he rarley is in th UK, however you can find more info on youtube or google.
Try google its probably the best place to look. Alternativly try local gyms and community halls.
Tai Chi is also very close to what Qigong is. This may be an option if you cannot find a suitable Qigong class. I would also search healthy pages! for information on Qigong classes in London.
