I have recently qualified ITEC sports massage and have been massaging friends for free on weekends and evenings, whilst keeping up the day job!
However my friends are now wanting to refer me on to others, and I dont know what I should say my rates are.
I am in central London and would be prepared to travel to people, or they could come to my home.
Would welcome help and advice on going rates?

RE: What should I charge?

Hi Blondie,

Might sound a daft question, but have you phoned round a few local clinics to find out what the local rate is??

I know where I live the rates are a lot less than some of the prices I've seen in Central London for massages.

I have feeling that there is some kind of local authority requirment for London as well. It might be an idea to have a look in the Business Development section for some information as well.

Good Luck

Charge according to your expences + your income + your taxes. Don’t undercharge, otherwise you will look like cheap high street massages.... and remember - quality is your primary goal....
almost all my clients come from my previous clients... and I charge a bit more then average for good professionals in my area (central London)
