I sprained my ankle last Thursday and the pain went right up my calf which is still there now.
I have been applying an ice pack and had a compression bandage on for the week but although the pain has subsided slightly it is still there, with the lower leg at the back being the main problem.
Has anyone on here encountered this problem before and can you provide any help?
Thanks

hi there, the sprain could have activated painfull trigger points in your calf. Difficult to self treat trigger points, so my advice would be to book in with a sports therapist, who would assess your ankle and treat any further problems.
