Aura Reading

Hello Fleur,
It all sounds very interesting........ i didnt learn aura readings.......but then again i did a very basic VTCT crystal course. I was under the impression that not everyone can read auras........i didnt see colours but i could feel the differance between the layers.
Im sure someone on this site can offer more advice.....and thats like most things it will all come with time.

Ooh Fleur, like Rachel above I was under the impression that not a lot of people can actually see auras, although I have heard that you can learn to do so with practise. I remember seeing a book with exercises that you can try but I'm afraid I don't remember the name or the author. There have been occasions when I've thought I've seen a bit of an aura but I've usually been under the influence of illicit substances at the times! (Whoops!) I've had a number of aura photos taken at a shop in Brighton but have been shot down in flames time after time by our dear Venetian who says the whole concept of aura photography is a scam. So....how that helps you, I have no idea, but you know me: always have to get my twopennorth in!

We have a list of colour meanings, and a grid to follow.........

We scan the clients (another class member) aura, then we colour on a paper what we see/perceive. (covered up in secret:022:)

Client then does the same..in theory we should almost come up with the same colours in the same place.

The tutor interpreted the colours and gave them a mini reading of their life situation......but IMO it was intuitive, not from the colour chart.
A student cannot work with second hand intuition.....:p

I too thought that aura reading was a gift.....perhaps its one of those latent skills that a good teacher can bring out.......

When at college we spent a little time on auras and chakras etc. We were given some basic instruction on how to see others auras. Now, I haven’t got a clue if what I was seeing were auras but if I followed the instruction I could see them fairly easily at the time. But….the method was not spiritual or mystical but physical.

You stand the person against a plain white background, didn’t have a white background so used my magnolia walls in my front room. You then have to look at the edge of the person and look past/through them, like you do with one of those 3d pictures. When you do this properly a colour hue is apparent, it only extended 2 or 3 inches around them when I did it.

I don’t have a clue if it was their aura I was seeing, it was, according to the instructions I had. But I expected it to be more of a mystical method needed to see auras, so remained skeptical??? Not many in the class could do it, in fact most couldn’t. But then most also said they couldn’t see through those 3d pictures either. And I can remember someone telling me years ago you can only see those kinds of pictures if you have 20/20 vision.

That's the way I did it too, Rachel - it's all coming back to me now. You kind of soften your eye focus. But I only ever saw one colour at a time, rather than a variety. And I thought the depth of auras was meant to vary but I only saw about three inches worth.

It used to annoy me that everyone else could 'see' something in 3D pictures and I couldn't. Now I can see aura's although have been able to see them for years but never realised what I could see, a couple of time's I've managed to see colour's which have surprised me because I wasn't looking for a colour. So is it a matter of having the gift or keep trying or luck.

The Aura reading is meant to be a diagnostic tool, whether I will get it remains to be seen I think. Anyway, this course is meant to be just something nice for me to do......and at least I'm actually doing something artistic.....colouring in :D, and spending time with some beautiful souls. 🙂

I've always been able to see the human energy field, which is commonly referred to as an "aura", but I've never seen colours. This apparently is quite normal: not everyone does.

So how to see auras: I generally start by having the person in front of a pale background, although this isn't strictly necessary. Then if you look at the space between their head and shoulders, in the angle, sort of look past them, you will see white space extending about 2 - 3 inches. I once felt the aura of someone at a distance of 9 feet.

While I don't see colours, from time to time while doing Reiki, I see something coming from the body of the colour and consistency of cigarette smoke. Usually I wave or comb this away as I feel drawn to.

The tutor on the course I'm taking tells me she doesn't see colours, but she sees the names of the colours, which I've never heard of. It's really a very personal experience.

Sometimes I will see a "something" - now I don't mean to be spooky but I mean a shape or perception, and with that I will get a sense of what and why. If you think of the words in "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd: "When I was a child I had a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye/I turned to look but it was gone/I could not put my fingers on it now" There are sound scientific reasons why peripheral or averted vision is better for seeing anything, and auras are like that.

You may get a better idea by feeling the aura, something the tutor had the class doing last week, and evryone could feel the aura even if they couldn't see it. I once felt the aura of someone at a distance of 9 feet.

The book that was referred to earlier in the thread is by Jack Schwantz and it's called "Human Energy Field". I've just finished reading it, and he is quite different to other thinkers in this regard. He does prescribe exercises, but TBH I'm not enamoured of standing a couple of feet away from a black and white shape for half an hour a day...

The authors I would recommend are Diane Stein and Barbara Ann Brennan. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the HEF to start with: what you need is an open mind and perseverance. One day you will get it and you will wonder what happened: perhaps it's a piece of learning you needed to go through. Each in their own good time.

Its a whole new experience consciously learning about subtle anatomy..and this is a level one course in Crystal Therapy, week 5 of 15.

The tutor is a very experienced in many metaphysical subjects, has taught itec and vtct and is a course assessor. She has devised this programme herself. It's very interesting but stretching for me......goodness knows what she puts in level 3 :D.

I've quite a few Crystal books, so hav't needed to buy any more.
Michael Gienger, The crystal Bible, and Hazel Ravens Crystal Healing for therapist is very comprehensive, I'm just about coming up to the aura part in that.

I learnt to see and read auras through doing Chios Energy healing. Still can only see them with psychic sight but this is perfect enough to do what I need to when healing.

I can read Auras but i see them just by looking at the person, every colour symbolises something, that is happening to the person, the brighter the colour the healthy or happier you are darker colours .show the stresses and strains of the body, when u do anything like this always use your intuition,

I was at an MBS event today and attended a talk by a guest speaker,,, and as I was sat there quite chilled out....I realised I could see the aura around her head :), sort of undulating or wisping about as she spoke.very very pale blue ... when I realised though i did try to scan some of the crowd but could see anyone elses.....:rolleyes:
