thanks for posting that although the 2nd link isnt opening.

i use reflexology, which is in effect, shiatsu/ acupressure, on the feet. i have further trained to learn the techniques useful during pregnancy, energising for labour and during labour. some of these reflex points are indeed acu points to speed up labour and get things going.

i also studied acupressure and had some long conversations with a shiatsu/ acupressure practitioner regarding body acu points to use and not use in pregnancy/ labour.

i think many midwives are taking up these therapies in order to offer that little bit more to their patients.
