RE: Diagnosing FM with tender points

Hiya,

I had my 1st shiatsu massage today & at the time when the practioner was palpating some of the pressure points i had some pain in those area's-i didnt really give it a great deal of thought at the time-i just thought maybe i was abit tense or had blockages in my ki etc.

But it wasnt until i read thisjust nowthat i actually put two & two together!! I was told a year or so ago that i have Chronic fatigue & Fibromyalgia-on the scale sliding between the two of them some days!! lol- ialso have endometriosis & polycystic ovarian syndrome, which are my main concerns!!

During the session today i actually didnt mention the dx of CFS/FM coz well basically it doesnt realllllly effect me that badly! yes i get tired& prob need tosleep more than the av person-but i have adapted my life around it & learnt to actuallymanage it now! i am not really bad CFS/FM wise-its the endo & pcos that have been running my life!!

I will get to my point honest- lol-today during the massage i didnt really give it a thought that these points that where tender/painful actually could have been related to the FM-hummmm! maybe i do have it after all! LOL- i didnt say anythin to the practioner doing the massage at the time-coz its prob just gonna be a one off session-but its defo opened my eyes seeing this post!!

interesting!! thanks for sharing!!

Big hugs!
