Chinese vs Japans Yin & Yang

One of the interesting conversations that often come up is that although
the OMT is virtually the same somewhat, the description of yang and yin are the opposite for example Yang is expansive in Chinas theory and contractive in Japans theory. It does lead to confusion but if you think about that it doesn't matter because in my opinion it is just one side of a duality or opposites. It also seems that the Japanese thought describe micro events such as birth and development which I have not seen in the Chinese thought, regardless they are probably 2 sides of the same coin and work together.
