Just wondering if anyone has done treatments for clients who reply quite heavily on alchol. A lady has approached me and Im happy to do the treatment but wondering if she ll have a more powerful healing 'detox' after the treatment.....

I have treated one client who will drink 3 bottles of wine a night without hesitation. One night the client wanted a treatment whilst we were socialising. The client had a bit to drink, she had a treatment and fell asleep (not unusal) but then later urinated in her sleep and I assume through being drunk, signals were being ignored that the client needed the toilet.
A good experiement I also did, was when someone has had a few glasses of wine and then havea holistic treatment of what I practise in - they ended up more tipsy by the end of the treatment. This is because the blood is rushing through their bodies to the areas of concern and energy is flowing naturally.
In hindsight, I will never work on someone socially drinking in a moderate/heavy drinking mode, ever again. It's up to each to assess the situation, but remember about your professionalism and insurance.

I have never had a problem with treating people that drink, many of my clients do use alcohol for pain relief, however I am not sure I would ever choose to give a reiki session on someone who had been drinking unless there was a very good reason. I did once in a pub when a lady fell over and she responded very well, even more than some of my sober patients though lol.
