I haven't been on the forum for a while due to a big change in my day job but I just wanted to pop on and say that I have my first ever Reiki student (level 1) tomorrow and I am really excited about it! She is a friend of mine who has had a lot of health problems and worries about everything - especially what others think of her. I am really hoping that this will help her. I am also interested to see how it feels for me to do the attunements (there are 4 in my method) on someone who is not my cuddly monkey or my sceptical/resistant partner. I
Anyway, off to go through the attunements again so that I flow a bit more easily.

Ooh, congratulations, Florence!:) I'm sure it will all go beautifully.
My first two students came out of the blue surprisingly soon after I was attuned to Master level, but I don't recall feeling in the least bit nervous, and they were both lovely people who hadn't known each other prior to the day.
BTW, did you mean to add something to your post? Your main para ends in "I" 😉
Anyway, look forward to hearing about it afterwards if you feel like sharing.

Congratulations! I remember how nervous I felt when I had my first students. It felt like such a big responsibility (which it is). They were a father and his daughter (he was a client originally) and it was a wonderful time for all three of us! After that first time it just felt great and I am so thankful for that father and daughter putting their trust in me.

It went well today. During the 3rd and 4th attunements my hands were tingling so much I thought they were going to drop off!
