Hi, I used to wake up in the middle of the night on and off, then since Reiki 1 and then reiki 2 attunements this seems to have increased. I always wake up in the early hours and then try and get back to sleep and sometimes do a treatment on myself to aid this, but it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't work. I read somewhere that not needing much sleep can be a sign of spiritual awakening, does anyone know anything about this? I only ask as most of the time in the day I feel really energised and not tired at all. I don't have trouble getting to sleep, but just wake up a few hours after. For the last two nights I have taken Nytol, but am not very keen on them, as I still wake up!! but do seem to drift again into a light sleep, but they give me very weird dreams. I do tend to drift off again for a few hours without taking Nytol,but sometimes it can take ages. I do 20 minutes of meditation just about every day. Any advice or comments gratefully recieved 🙂
wonder what might happen if you did 20 minutes of meditation if you wake up in the night?
4am is a special time to open up to higher guidance this way

I to had a sleeping disorder that caused some real problems that lasted about 6mths this was a time that i really felt unwell as I am a sleeper need my eight hrs at least. Now if you are feeling energiezed during the day, this is sometimes is the paraelle to making the pressures of the night that slip bye watching what occured to bring about the awakening is a key to you, listen to yourself to bring about the distruption that is the cause that you can bring together the comfort zone needed to give you a good night rest. I agree that you may need to meditate to bring about the sleep state but also look at what is bothering you when awake because there is worry or frustration that usually causes this in life. Taking medications is a key also as I had to see a physican to get some help. God Bless Gypsee
I used to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning nearly every night when I was going through a change in spiritual consciousness. I also found after all three levels of reiki attunements my sleep pattern changed whilst going through the clearing period. Every individual is different, but what works for me when I have trouble sleeping is popping on a guided meditation on cd, I usually only get three or four minutes into it and I'm out for the count.
