Recently I have been feeling rather sick when sometimes giving reiki and reflexology. I spoke to the Master who I did my second level with, she said that my guide may be near to me or I may not be grounding myself well enough. Can anyone give me advice on grounding advice? I tend to imagine myself with roots of energy growing into the ground - maybe this isn't working for me. I am I therefore taking on others energys whether they be positive or negative?

The very best advise I can give you for grounding is to be in your body. Be in love with all that is around you; love this planet with all your heart. The tree visualization is excellent advice as well. During visualizations it is important to also feel. Many times people just visualize it and that can take you out of your body even more, so combine the feeling with the visuals and that will keep you in your body.
When you connect with the earth feel her love and your love for her. Allow yourself to remember why you are here. If you wish make a commitment to really be fully here on this planet. That does not mean being here for eternity, just while you are here in your body. Once you make that commitment then feel the earth's heart opening up to you and your heart open to receive the love of the earth.
Michael Heemskerk has produced a CD, which is excellent for grounding, it is included in both the Shenu Meditation and Infinity Dance. you can PM for info
The infinity dance works a bit like Tai chi which is also a wonderful exercise and modality for grounding. The difference is it is no structure around it, it is easy to do and is fun.
All the proceeds are currently going to a good cause, to support Michael, so he can continue to produce his heavenly music. He is also going through a process to get a kidney transplant; the funds are greatly needed at this time .

RE: Grounding
Thanks for the reply Patrick. The advice you give is excellent, you are certainly right - to be grounded you have to live in the real world and be aware of it fully. The feeling sick also happens sometime when I have been meditating so I also need to learn some good techniques to bring myself back down as I often feel stretched and out of my body.

RE: Grounding
Willow,
Many Mediation methods are designed to take you out of your body. The whole philosophy is set up to detach from the world and the physical nature of this world and Yes they do work! One of reasons I was draw to the Sufi's because they were very much focused on Family and being in this world living a spiritual life.
I do feelone of the main keys is to be fully present liivng life to the fullest in this world yet not attached.
