Hello everyone,
I just experince while a self reiki session a fresh air, like mountain breeze around my Third eye and around my nose. It was so real , when i breath i felt this air and i felt all around of my third eye ....mmmmm .
I learned that when u feel a cool breeze is like a interpretation of your brain of the reiki energy, or if u feel cold on a area of your body maybe it is a energy blockage.
I tend to think that is a interpretation of my brain of the reiki energy
What do you think it is ?

Hi Andreea and welcome to Healthypages.

I think this depends on how you've been taught Reiki.
Unfortunately many people are taught in a way that says you place your hands in specific positions and 'give' Reiki, and then it's up to the recipient to 'sense' whatever they sense, but that we shouldn't interpret anything by it (or in some cases the teacher tries to teach specific interpretations).
In some, more traditional, styles of Reiki we learn about Byosen Reikan Ho (often simply referred to as Byosen), which is a method of scanning with the hands and sensing the energies in the body. With these we can locate areas that we sense need to be given Reiki as well as areas that we sense are not in need of Reiki.
This is the same, whether we are treating another person, or ourselves.

In short, if you are sensing something when you give yourself a treatment, trust your intuition as to whether it means that that location needs Reiki or that the energy is flowing well there. If we start to try and over-analyse it we can put conscious influence and idea/beliefs in the way and interpret it wrongly.

Hi Again,
Thank you very much for you responding
I am a begginer in reiki, i try to practice by my self every day of some 3 months and the way i learned Reiki is ,"Let the Reiki go through your being because Reiki knows were to go". I didn't know about Byosen Reikan Ho . I just searched on internet about Cool breeze, and i found this information that can be a blockage of energy . But i think it s like u say, don't overthink and actually I tend to do this. I will try to follow my intuition and i will try for the moment just to feel the energy and not to interpret, because is to early.
Thank you very much again for responding!
Peace & Love

There are myriad experiences within energy. Fragrance, breeze, lights, shivering....spectrum coverage of sensations
Enjoy and move on.
Nothing to hold on to. New day new experience.
See the elegance of shaktipat playing and marvel at it, what else can we do?
She plays, we play with her

Shaktipat is not a genre of something 'spiritual'. It is just Indian word for transmission of energy- quite literally. All the world is an outcome of shakti-exchange. Vibrationally, Giving what you are....all of us do that all day everyday.

Shaktipat is a state of non-doing it just flows from one who has lost their persona to whoever is receptive, unconditionally.

It's a bit of a "Western Reiki" adaptation of Reiki that has introduced the idea that Reiki will go where it's needed, which also has the side effect that Western Reiki also provides a passive style whereby you just place your hands on specific locations on a person (which themselves are the Chakra points, which are not Japanese). If it really did just go where it was needed then you could simply place your hands on any place on the body and give Reiki; no need to change positions. In traditional Japanese Reiki, the energy will go where it is intended by the practitioner. This is why we use Byosen techniques to sense where it's needed and then give Reiki intentionally to those areas.

Hello guys! 🙂 I am an absolute beginner, and I just want to see if I am on the right track. When I join my hands together, sometimes I get a prickling sensation at the center of my palms, like electricity, and other times I feel a force so to speak, that contracts and expands like a heartbeat, and if I concentrate on it, it grows bigger. When this happens, it is as if I cannot close them, put them together. There is something in between. Is that Reiki?

For it to be Reiki, you'd have to have been attuned to Reiki by an appropriate teacher.
However, naturally we all have Chi/Ki/Qi energy, and yes, if we are perceptive, we can sense such things as you describe.

Where I come from, Reiki is not diffused and I doubt that I will find anyone to explain this to me. I would really appreciate any info given, thank you in advance!!

I assume English is not your first language and you have used a translator, so you mean that Reiki is not taught where you are from.

If you search the web for "Qi Energy" (or "Chi Energy" or "Ki Energy") then you should get lots of information about what this is. (Ki being the energy part of the name Reiki)

e.g.

The energy is also used in other practices, including martial arts, or Qigong etc.

Actually, I used the term diffused because reiki is not widely known here, and therefore is taught by a select few. Consequently, I would have to travel 500 kms to reach the capital just to find a master, which is extremely inconvenient. At any rate, thank you for your time

Ah, ok, so you meant it IS diffused, rather than NOT diffused. Makes sense now.
