Hi Everyone, wonder if anyone can help on this...
I have just passed my A&P and Reflexology courses and am looking to set up a therapy room in my house. I am hoping to do some other courses in Ear Candling and Body Massage shortly. I have very little idea in how best to decorate the room to create the right atmosphere and was hoping someone could help........... many many thanks in advance. :p:)
Congratulations on passing x
My friend had a therapy room, she did beauty too, hers was in a pale colour, lilac i think, and purple voile at the window, she used candles in glasses (Eve Taylor) was very calming.
Perhaps use soft neutral colours. A plant is good, also absorbs negative energies. Maybe your certificates plus some relaxing pictures on the wall. Blinds on the windows if downstairs which you can close during treatment for privacy.
Furniture-wise - your Lafuma or couch, a chair for client and for you, a small desk maybe. A small table for client to put handbag, tissues, rucksack, jewellery, glasses etc on.
You want it to look professional as well as relaxing/calming.
Thanks guys, good suggestions, am slowly pulling it together, am replacing my couch with a Lafuma as they are just so good.
Don’t forget aromatherapy in a diffuser and music too, I have found that the smell of the room stays with clients for many years and that they will recall how relaxed they felt for example when they smell a particular oil that we used. Aromas have colours and music will work with colours too.
Unless qualified as an aromatherapist,do not use oils, people underestimate the power of using essential oils.
My room is painted lilac, with one pink wall. Everyone always comments on how calm and relaxing it is.
