Hi all, help please, am doing I.F.R course and have one last question on last module ever YAY!! and am stuck ,brain feels like pulp! question is; the sciatic nerve is important in the application of reflexology. What is its overall importance in the body? now i know that its the longest nerve in the body and originates in the sacral plexus and i know that it enables movement etc.. but am i missing something from this ? thanx for any help [&:]

The sciatic nerve is the largest and therefore radiates down to the lower body, herniated liscs or even the piriformis muscle can trap the nerve and cause a lot of pain. A helpful website is this one:
