Hello all,
A client of mine wants me to treat her teenage daughter for acne. I said I'd be happy to try it, but was honest in saying that I didn't know how much reflexology would help. I don't have much experience with clients that young, or for this condition - does anyone else!? She has taken capsules from the doctor, but they have had little effect but to dry out her skin. I know from experience how bad this can be for a young person, so I'd love to be able to help her!

Thanks,
Matt

RE: reflexology for acne

Hello Matt. I reckon the endocrine system (including reproductive), plus kidneys, bladder, colon and liver. To balance the hormones and help with elimination. Plus of course making sure she gets a good diet and plenty of water, exercise and sleep. Good luck!

RE: reflexology for acne

I've treated someone with Acne Rosacae which is more of a circulatory problem really - quite good success but I couldn't really say as the lady concerned wasn't really 'looking after herself' too well.

I would have thought that reflexology would have been a very good treatment for acne as acne is often caused by a hormonal imbalance and we all know how good reflexology is at balancing the endocrine system. I'd concentrate on the lymphatic system as well as the areas suggested by Siobhan - although a complete, holistic treatment is what you should be aiming at.

Let us know how you get on:)

Love

Sulis xx
