Depends how many you are buying. A good trade supplier is Burhouse - lovely quality.

There's lots of info on them too.

Hello Tanwoman, I'm a reflexologist, but i'm afraid I don't know what crystal wands are, what are they used for? if you don't mind me asking.

Hi Serendipity
Massaging these points restores the flow of energy throughout the whole body and promotes health and well-being.
These reflex points can be stimulated with the thumb and fingers or with a crystal wand. Using a crystal wand has the added benefit of incorporating the healing properties of crystals into the practice.
If you check out the website it might give you some more information. I'm trying to build up a collection of different crystals for different health problems. Thanks for asking

I do believe if you are a member of SIR or AOR that one of theri criteria is that no implements are to be used during treatment.

Just the hands and fingers.

Never, ever heard of "reflexology crystal wands". Where did this idea originate from then?

Hi,

I qualified with the AOR 6 months ago, and I've never heard if anything else being used to give Reflexology - in fact, I thought its totally natural application was one of the strong points in this therapy! Not that I disapprove of crystals (I know they are natural, too) - but just puzzled..

Happy Boxing Day,

Hi,

I also qualified with AOR and was told, during the module on history of reflexology, about the Rwo Shur (Sp?) school of reflexology. They use implements for the treatment which look more like instruments of torture! Ouch!! There has been an article about it in Reflexions and people say it is wonderful but I am not convinced!

As for crystals I would say they would be a useful adjunct to a reflexology treatment as the colours and vibrational energies will help to balance the chakras. Chakras and their crystals were also covered in our course though we did not use any crystals in the course.

I am studying colour therapy at the moment in order to enhance my treatments and may use crystals at times. I would not myself class the crystals as implements.

Happy New Year to you all!

Hi again!

If you are a member of AOR there is an article in the website forum (they call it the knowledge hub now!) in Past Reflexions Articles dated 20th May 2005 about Father Joseph and Rwo Shur.
