Dear Healthy Pages,
My name is Stephanus Kusuma,
I'm a new member here.
I'd like to help my mother.
She has breast cancer that spreads to her liver.
But her other organs are clean according to last check up.
I read in the internet that there are caution by practicing reflexology to cancer patient.
I'm not asking a cure here.
But I just want to know, what caution should I take?
Which acupressure points on foot and hand palm that I should be careful?
Which acupressure points on foot and hand palm that I shouldn't press to hard?
I hope by understanding reflexology I can help at least people close to me.
Thank you very much.
Steven
Hi Steven, welcome to the forums. 🙂
You are mixing up the modalities here, meridian therapies that work on the meridians is not the same thing as reflexology which works on the reflexes to promote a balance within the body, as you are trying to create healing for your mother, then there should not be a problem wherever you apply your healing, just be open to help. 🙂
Thanks for your answer Paul.
So, the acupressure point is the meridian therapies?
Reflexology don't use acupressure point?
Perhaps I can't express myself clearly.
This is the chart that I want to apply to my mother.
I'd like to massage certains points from this chart.
Such as
Kidney
Bladder
Brain
and Liver.
Will there be any contraindication by applying this procedure for people has cancer?
Is this picture meridian therapy or reflexology?
Thanks.

Hi Steven,
There are no points on that chart that will harm your mother so rather than picking out which ones you think will be useful please use them all, it is a reflexology chart, there are some meridian points on the feet, but unless you choose to chase them round the body, they are not used in reflexology, much the same as when we massage over the meridian points in the body, they are not stimulated in the same way that using acupuncture or acupressure would do. 🙂
Thank you very much for your answer, Paul.
