RE: Reflexology and Insonmia

Hello!
I had a client come to me a year or so ago, unable to totally relax whilst in bed and thus couldn't drop off to sleep - his head was too filled with what had happened during his day at work etc
I gave him about 5 treatments - 8.30pm for an hour, and advised him to go home and just get into bed and see how he managed getting to sleep. I worked a fair bit on his pineal gland, endocrine system and nervous system and could feel that his head and brain was really over worked! It definitely did help him get a better night's sleep- we also talked a lot about his lifestyle - eating too late at night, and figured out he was really eating too many stimulants late at night eg chocolate, hot chocolate, cigarettes......
What is your client's situtation, does this sound familiar?
Hope this helps a bit

Hi!

I've tried using diaphragm rocking from Lynne Boothes Vertical Reflexology book. It has really worked for a lot of my clients since it resets the bodys clock.I use it in the beginning of the session and at the end.

Not quite sure. Since I am over in the States, I haven't been able to take one of her classes yet. I hope to take her class next year when she comes here. The technique was recommended to me by another reflexologist. It really helps calm a person down and help them sleep. Sometimes it can help them sleep sound for several days or if they are having a lot of trouble they may at least get a longer period of sound sleep at night. I should also mention that the technique sends healing energy to where the body needs it most. As a reflexologist we don't know where that is but the body does. Its pretty amazing. I definitely recommend getting her book and if you can take her course. I wish I could have done it this year but you know how things go.
