Hi,
Just wondering what other people think about fitflops?

I have one pair which I bought off the internet in my usual size and have found them to be quite generously sized. I spotted a pair, a size smaller, at our local car boot last week and got them for £1 !!!! They are a perfect fit.

I'm not convinced that they have made much difference to my bum and thighs (they are supposed to tone these areas whilst you wear them:)) even though I wore them all week on holiday in Cornwall recently! (live in hope!!)

A lot of my clients comment on mine (the fitflops not my bum!!) when they come for treatments, so any other feedback would be useful.

I wish I could find a pair for £1.00!!!

:045: I love Fitflops! I have 3 pairs now, and wear them all the time. Several clients have commented on them, and then turned up with their own pair next appointment.

That said, I'm not sure, either, how much they help to tone legs and bum. However they are incredibly comfortable, I can walk miles and miles in them, and due to their design they stay on well unlike som flip flops where you claw your toes to keep them on. I also think they encourage you to walk better too, rolling throught the foot from heel to toe.

I'm interested to hear what others think of them,

Best wishes

Hi

I don't have fitflops but i do have MBTs which do the same thing. I wear mine alot and I have noticed a big change in my legs and bottom with my posture improving too. It will take more than a week to notice any changes i think.....

Fascinating! My reflexology tutor told me about fitflops last night at college! How is that for co-incidence. It must be meant to be!! Best I get some! My bum needs all the help it can get!! Love Mel xx

I thought they were generously sized too, so bought a pair smaller than my normal size as they felt comfortable. I do a lot of walking, so walked for an hour or so in them and ended up with a huge raw blister on my second toe above the toe post on my right foot.

I took them back to the shop and they agreed to change them, although I was concerned the same thing would happen, but they said I could still bring them back. When I tried on others, the area where the blister was was not even touching the strap, so there was obviously something wrong. I then decided to try a size up, but it took three pairs before I could find a comfrotable fit on my left foot.

I have spoken to other people who have had trouble with the fit as they are in between sizes. The label on the Fitflops does say to go a size bigger if you're not sure as there is no stretch in them. My friend can only wear the sequinned ones as they come up slightly wider.

We have a chain of shops in Essex selling similar ones called (from memory) Filip Flops for £20.

I can't say I have noticed any difference in my legs or fitness, but I do a lot of work at the gym anyway.

I have just bought the Avon version - toning flip flops for just £15. They are very comfortable I must say. I have been wearing them around the house all evening, but it remains to be seen whether they tone me up successfully. I have just stepped up the gym, swimming and running though, so it may be difficult to tell what (if anything) is having the effect!

Oh dear. I was hoping that if I wore them and then just sat in the garden, I would be miraculously made gorgeous and toned! 🙂 Not going to happen then! I have ordered 2 pairs online 7 & 8 as I am 7½ cos they do free postage and free returns. Wish me luck they will arrive at the weekend I think, and I hoped to be lithe and lovely by monday! I think it may take a bit more effort by the sounds of it. Oh well, they look nice anyway!! Love Mel xx

I love mine. Had to go down a shoe size to get the fit, but lovely. Still waiting for the buns of steel though.

Fit Flops

I personally do not rate them at all I have a pair and they do not live up to their marketing hype one bit, the toe post is so skimpy it is like wearing cheese wire between the toes.

I will stick to my Birkenstock flip flops I love those.

Eileen.

I love mine - had them about 3 months now and I think I have noticed a small difference in my legs (maybe wishful thinking though!)

I know it has only been a couple of days, but have to report that I am still loving my Avon toning flip flops. I have hardly taken them off and attracted admiring comments at the gym this morning. Well worth a go if you are on a tight budget - only £15 girls!

Whether they tighten up the old bum or not - we'll wait and seeeeee....

Thanks for your replies 🙂

Interesting to read about the various alternative ones out there.

I have been wearing fitflops for most of the time since March, mostly at home, and do find them really comfy.

I see they do winter clogs/slip on ones (without the toe post), so I am going to investigate which size will be best and hopefully they will be as comfy 😉

I love mine and they are sooo comfy, they haven't been off my feet for the last few weeks. I have the black suede ones which look great with my uniform. My friend is a chiropodist and sells them in her surgery, she can't get enough of them and has sold literally hundreds of pairs. They're not cheap but I think they're worth the money.

I tried some on this morning but was disappointed: the straps are too tight for me so I couldn't get my foot in far enough. Also I seemed to be in between sizes, so didn't buy any. My OH did buy a pair though and he is already very pleased with them: his knees stopped hurting immediately.

Do they make them for men too? Don't think I have seen those, but was saying to a friend the other week that there would be a good market for them.

Thank you for posting about these Fitflops. I was having a browse over the weekend in my local healthshop which has a wide range of stock of them, but they didn't display the price. Two of the shop attendants rushed up to me to ask if I needed any help, which puts me off a bit, so I didn't ask the obvious which is the price. So in any of you helpful folk could fill me in with the cost of Fitflops price I'd appreciate it.

Hi, I got mine from Shudoo.co.uk and like I said, free postage and free returns so you can try out sizes ok. Mine came the day after I ordered them, and have to say, they haven;t been off my feet since. VERY comfy indeed. But the legs and bum are still fat!!! I would def recommend them though, lovely to wear and look nice too. Love Mel xx

In the shop I was, I think all the men's ones they had were £44 and so were the nicer women's ones, the cheapest they had (which i didn't think looked that nice) were £35.

Hope this helps! 🙂

Thanks for the prices everyone. No guesses for where I'll be trying first to see if I can get a pair. My body needs all the help it can get at my stage in life, so I'm going to give them a go.
