I wonder if the reflexologists on here could say how they became interested in the therapy? This might help me to find more clients. At the moment, almost everyone I get comes through word-of-mouth recommendation, but I would like to find more clients closer to home.
Thanks, Matt
RE: Advertising reflexology
Hi Matt
I had a bad case of glandular fever followed by lengthy post viral fatigue syndrome when I was eighteen. I was struggling to keep up with my A levels so was desperate to try anything. I heard abut a local lady who was a nurse and reflexologist and went to have treatment with her - after a few sessions my PVFS had gone. After completing my degree 4 years later I thought I would like to make that kind of difference to someone elses life and decided to train myself and bar having my children it's the most rewarding thing I've ever done.
Good luck with building up your practice.
Tam:D
RE: Advertising reflexology
Hi Matt, probably you will get even more clients that way then, but other suggestions to build up are:
working somewhere else, possibly a clinic just outside your area
working at a chiropodist, chiropractor, osteopath or similar clinic
going out and giving talks to interested groups
doing a leaflet drop door to door or in your local paper
offering a 'recommend a friend' scheme to your existing clients
giving mini taster treatments to groups of teachers, police etc
getting work at a GP surgery
getting a write-up about yourself in the local paper
etc. hope that helps.
