Hello
I have just been diagnonised with bilateral hip dysplesia. I am awaiting on a date for an operation but that would take months and months. I am a voleyball player and had to give up due to the pain ( the running and jumping at the net was getting to much). I have always struggle with my weight and it is now getting out of control by the fact that my only form of work out, is doing length in the pool and that by itself is bad for the hip.
Does anyone have any advise on what i could do to burn calories and continue my keep fit regime until i get the operation?
Thank you very much for your help, i am getting desperate...
It must be painful.
How about gentler exercise such as brisk walking.
Not exactly counting calories and obsessing about food, but how about switching to healthy a wee smaller portion than usual.
Adding more liquid to diet. Mostly plain water all through the day. Avoid juices as they are high in sugar.
Lemon juice in warm water in the morning on empty stomach is a common weight management routine.
Teaspoon of Apple cider vinegar in a glass of water after each meal is another weight management trick.
Yogic Mudra is another way to burn fat and boost metabolism. Surya mudra is something I would do, if I could not do vigorous exercise. Google it for more detail.
...and above all not getting desperate. Staying thankful for whatever is going right in life. (Although being grateful for whatever is going wrong is the ultimate trick, but let's not push it, just yet!)
May health be restored
