Hi Guys,
Im currently studying reflexology but my assignment this week is give a presentation on osteopathy.
Its not goign to be very long, maybe 5-10 mins. Im going to a brief fact sheet - history, what it can be good for, how to qualify etc. But what can i do to make it more fun?
Just standing in front of the class reading off a sheet is pretty boring but i dont really know much about osteopathy to make it more interesting?
Can anyone help please?

RE: Presentation help
Have you ever been to an osteopath?
if not I suggest you book a treatment - one of the things they will do is to assess you all over - looking at how all of your joints move in realtion to each other .
Bending over to toes - bending back - bending to side - tipping neck from side to side , turning your head.
These are things generally you do not ask you massage/reflexology clients to do and it is amazing how different we all are -
you could ask for 2 volunteers and ask them to perform the movements side by side . so that your class can see for themselves and compare how different everyone is doing the same things.
Things like palpation are not easy to show but a bit of class participation is always fun
good luck and hope you enjoy it

RE: Presentation help
Thanks for your reply Jane
Sadly, i dont have time to book myself in as the presentation is tonight otherwise that would of been a good idea.
The point of our presentations is just to help us know a little bit more about other treatments/therapies in case we ever had to refer our clients.
Im sure it'll be ok, i know i didnt have a clue about osteopathy until i started reading up here so whatever i do hopefully it will give everyone a bit more knowledge if they were inmy position.
