I do not have personal experience with Chinses Medicine and cystitis. But I have experience with cystitis and Western herbs, which also treat the the "bladder weakness" that allowed the systitis to come in the first place. It is a condition that tends to be a recurring one if treated with antibiotics, but much less so with herbs. Chinese Medicine should help the condition. It works holistically, so it also addresses the cause underneath the infection.

Sorry, antibiotocs don't have anything to do with interstitial cystitis. I should have payed more attention! But still remains the issue of a weak(ened) bladder that could be helped by TCM.

Think I posted on another forum about this but the answer unfortunately is yes!!![&:]I had suffered extremely badly with cystitis for years it was continuous I would go on anti biotics over and over again till they made me get candida and there was no good bacteria left to fight off the bad - I was in a right state. Felt tired all the time too. Any way tried the usual cranberry juice, tea tree oil and lavender in the bath drinking water etc but nothing seemed to be keeping it at bay. In the end my mum suggested accupuncture. One day I went along in desperation and pain with full blown cytitis and I was in the room an hour aprox. I came out after the treatment and felt fine all syptems had gone, it was soooooo effective for me that I actually had regular treatments for a while to keep it away and it worked!! This was a few years back now and I havent had any accupuncture since but touch wood since the last treatment I havent had cystitis!!!! Yipieeee it worked amazingly well.So if you are continually suffering with this dont delay go and get some accupuncture it is great and actually quite relaxing.

Oriental treatments?

I don't know if it's oriental of origin, but I know of a natural cure for cystitis. Instead of trying to kill the bacteria, it simply flushes it out of the body with no harmful side effects. It's called 'Waterfall D-Mannose'. It's made up of rare essencial sugars that the bacteria naturally latch onto and pass through the body instead grabbing on and multiplying there. You should be able to find it very quickly if you try a google search. It worked very quickly for me. Good luck with it.
