Hi all,
I'm a hard working guy without time to attend a course in TCM and I want to know if it is possible in the UK to study TCM from home. I mainly want to study herbology to become a qualified practitioner.
Does anyone know if this is do-able in the UK?;)
Hi Dhugal,
I looked into this last year and I could not find any that allowed this. There are some that advertise it from abroad on the net but I came to the conclusion that it would be better for me to attend a course as I was more likely to learn with practice than accademically and the practical experience would help me treat my patients with more confidence,
hope this helps.

I am currently half way through my first year of TCM, and trust me, you do need lecturing, or it will just make no sense at all!
Is soooo worthy !!!
I couldn't agree more with kim...you can start reading stuff yourself to give you an idea...
It is not possible in the UK, for a million of reasons. If you are already a practitioner you might get some modules APLed.
However... Stonebridge offers a Chinese Medical Theory diploma. They are very slow to grade and return your work, and to send the next module. In theory it should take 18 months - the reality is that it is nearer 3 years.
