Just finishing first part of course at Bodyharmonics and its good! 🙂

relaxed atmosphere, good class, and have already applied acupuncture to 4 people and 6 points.

Lots of study to do out of class, but the support from other students is great.

Always a smile on my face and everyone elses.

i hope Mooboo and reiki pixie would feel the same too.

Onward and upward eh!:D

i was just popping in to leave a comment on our first Acupuncture weekend but it seems that you beat me to it:dogrun:
And as you've basically summed it up, all i'm going to have to do is definitely agree! Yes, it was good and FUN - except for my queezy spell, that is:rolleyes: ..
Thanks again for Tuina' ing me in the right direction:)
Good luck to you and Reiki Pixie (if he's lurking around) with the case studies!

Well everyone!

Just passed the half way mark now and things are good.

The group is a good bunch and all very involved and helpful. Already completed near 100 treatments and inserted 100's of needles, and feeling very confident in the techniques learnt.

The word 'EXAM' & Case studies has become prominant now so i guess its time to get the heads down and revise.

5 months to go and this 5 year journey ends and a new one begins!

wahoooooooooo!

Hi

The acupuncture course is hard work but always facinating. You can probably tell by Indo's comments he is enjoying every minute, especially sticking a huge needle in my buttock last weekend!

I'm happy to recommend this course to anyone, but don't do the Tui-Na Master's course at the same time as the Acupuncture. Those that are are getting really stressed out (like Mooboo ). Unless you are not working and have lots of money to live on; therefore having the free time to do the case studies, written essays and study. Those of us who have done TCM and have some clinical experience, seem to be more relaxed about it.

I'm so glad to be able to take my vocation/career one step further. I'm having no problems getting volunteers for acu, it's almost like acu is finally considered to be mainstream, than a freaky fringe new age therapy (not that there is anything wrong with freaky fringe new age therapies).

Best Wishes

You guys are soooo lucky to be studying this wonderful therapy! I'm trying to plan my venture into it, I just wish there were more places we could go to study it! It's so difficult with money, time, travelling etc. I'm hoping I'll be able to go to Wrexham uni this year, has to be a degree in Chinese med though:eek:. Fingers & toes crossed! Good luck with the rest of your course all of you, its sounds so exciting x x 😀

Pheewwww!

just finished another long weekend at BH.

2 exams in May and then 2 in June and thats it!!!

Personally got around 50 treatment studies to finish off and everyone else seems to be managing.

The actual practical needling on this course is what set's it apart from others IMO. Everyone is very confident and safe, i have no problem being needled by any of the other students.

Case works is very demanding but helps you to learn properly.

The end is nigh!!!!....well nearly:rolleyes:

Hi

Indo has passed finally passed all of his acupuncture. I have just find out that I have passed the final exam and just have to finish the case studies and the essay. Hurray, after 12 months of hardcore study it's finally coming to an end. But you know what us therapists are like, there is always another course around the corner.....lol

Congratulations everyone on completing and passing your acupuncture year!

Sorry if this is discussed elsewhere, but I'm not clear if this acupuncture course is one-year or five-years long? Also, would you mind please telling me what is the name of the College you are studying with? You each appear to be happy with the acupuncture year, and personal recommendations count very much - so I'd like to find out more about your College.

Hi Ava,
I myself have been training for five years, but i have also completed various other systems.

The actual acupuncture course is 1 year, but you must also complete a foundation year prior to this.

There are entry options for Physio's, GP's Chiro's etc.

The course is very intense in this year and completion of approx 150 studies is required and around 600 hours of theory out of hours.

The course is very good and Maria teaches Traditional Chinese Acupuncture with the latest techniques, but you must be able to do the 'extra' work load.

The best thing about this course is that by the end of it you are 'hopefully' a competant practitioner already as you apply needling from the start.

I cannot directly mention the college as Admin will wrap the knuckles again 😀 , but the clue is in the title of this thread. 😉

Have a look on the website for more info.

I'm sure 'Mooboo' and the 'cornish pixie man will be able to add some more info.

Thanks very much for the extra info. Very good to hear you're all happy with the programme. Recommendations are the only thing I take notice of these days - so I feel quite excited about finding out more.

I don't think they are that unreasonable - unless you open an account with HP and all your posts are about your business or thing-you-are-marketing? Perhaps you would be so very kind to instead PM me details? PMs are supposed to be private hence you'll not be ticked off by Admin for sharing the name of the College with me.
