For those of you unfamiliar with Be Set Free Fast™, it started out as a pure energy psychology technique that was an offshoot of TFT®/Callahan Techiques® (i.e. energy meridian tapping while making affirmative healing statements related to emotional issues relevant to the meridian point being tapped on). However --and here is where NLP and hypnosis come in-- one day Dr. Larry Nims, BSFF™'s developer, decided he wanted to treat himself for an emotional issue, and before he could start tapping he could feel the identified issue clearing! Dr. Nims realized that through utilizing his method so often he had actually anchored the release of the issue to his intention to apply BSFF! This lead to the understanding that if his Subconscious was responding to his intention automatically like this, then he could simply link the elimination of emotional issues deliberately to a cue, and modern-day BSFF was born!
Energy Psychology practitioners believed that it was necessary to learn the tapping first, not realizing as Dr. Nims did that, because the Subconscious was already producing the problematic emotional and behavioral symptoms and maintaining the beliefs supporting them, the Subconscious could certainly erase these too. He proved this was true by finding that students and clients had the same success without having ever learned a tapping protocol at all.
Very basically, BSFF anchors the release of emotional or mindbody issues to a cue. Now it's not quite that simple, because he has crafted very thorough instructions for the Subconscious to execute at the signal of the cue, and a treatment protocol for more serious, complicated, or chronic problems to ensure the results are durable.
So, while BSFF remains under the energy psychology banner, it can also be arguably be considered a highly refined and and elegant NLP-like procedure, modeling and anchoring the natural emotional and mindbody healing process programmed into the instructions and also unique to each person.
If there are any other of you out there familiar with both NLP and BSFF, I'd love to read your views on the matter. Or if you are familiar with only NLP or BSFF, I'd love to read your opinion too!

Hi.
I practice EFT and interested in NLP, which I have basic knowledge( very useful in EFT).
BSFF sounds very interesting. On the website they offer the e-book.
My question is: can you learn the basic from the book as to incorporate it into an EFT treatment or just to shift difficult or stubborn emotional blockages or beliefs?
Is always good to have many tools and skills to add to any one treatment.
Kind regards.
L.
Re: BSFF, NLP, & EFT
Hello lele72,
EFT is a great modality for sure, and whatever NLP skills you possess (the more the better) --when skillfully and appropriately applied--are always potentially helpful in delivering any procedure to help someone change.
I would suggest that --like EFT-- BSFF is not really an "add-on" to make some other modality more successful: it stands alone and can accomplish pretty much what any EFT or NLP process can without help. The danger is that a little knowledge of one method combined with a little knowledge of another gives the illusion of limitations in a method which are really a function of insufficient training or skill development. This is true of all three of these modalities.
On the other hand, you may find that you start to gravitate toward one method more than others by getting some experience with a few methods. I found for myself that dabbling with EFT for several years didn't lead me to want to go much further with it, but I found TAT and BSFF much more to my liking and each stands on its own as a highly effective modality. I think you may find that developing skill with NLP is at least as natural a blend with BSFF as it is with EFT because both address subconscious processes.
To answer your question more directly, I've never run into a problem I was treating or guiding a client to treat with BSFF that needed further intervention with EFT. Ever. However I HAVE found that Ericksonian hypnosis and NLP helped me to better understand the Subconscious, which helped me to to identify and treat problems more efficiently.
BSFF is a wonderful tool you can use anytime, anywhere. I highly recommend it!
Blessings,
Alfred
Sounds even more interesting.
