I certainly feel that it is a huge minefield choosing natural remedies and am interested to know what are the greatest problems that you all come up against when choosing and using natural remedies.
I don't really see it as a problem. I just go and see a Medical Herbalist or go into a reputable retailer and ask. That said, I also have a stack of books on the subject.
I dowse for what I need so will always choose what my body/spirit requires.
Hi Rosi1
You know, years ago I was a real skeptic of dowsing. Then - I tried it. The first few times I felt it may have been a fluke, but the results were consistent. These days I find it a useful tool too :o)
Hi BetterYou, Dowsing has been one of the most empowering techniques I have ever learnt. It takes the guesswork out of 'wondering' what you may or may not need. I haven't seen my doctor in over 10 years; do all my own dowsing and then either buy what I need or make up the blend.
I would recommend everyone goes on a dowsing for health workshop - you'll never look back and I find it helps massively with reclaiming our power especially where health and wellbeing are concerned.
For me the biggest problem with natural remedies is always to do with quality / potency. With natural products you get natural variation, its not all the same, yet there is a lack of quality standards to know just what you're getting. And where does it come from.
Its all very well for someone to say, oh, try green tea for that. But there is a huge difference between the best quality green tea from Japan and the cheap stuff mass produced in China (and if you've ever seen some of the documentaries showing factory food production in China you wouldn't risk going near it).
Most health food stores don't know and don't care, there is a huge amount of misleading selling, mislabelling and other rubbish going on. Do you really need the strongest potency available? often not, but it is very difficult to compare qualities of what is available.
