Hi I have posted under the children's health about my god son and his hyperactivity but thought it might be a good idea to ask here also for a remedy that may calm him down. Is there something that may calm him for bed and then something for the day? When he is calm he is a good boy most of the time but this behaviuor is awful. He is very frustrated and goes wild with toys, he is slow with progression against other kids in speech but he doesn't seem intent to try he'd rather beat the **** out of other kids or his brother....

I wondered about valarian or st johns wort but not sure about for kids. We tried gingko pearl but no effect....and expensive!
Cheers

Ive answered on your other thread. Sedation for such a young child can be dangerous without medical supervision.

I hear you caringsoul but there are remedies that children can take in these fields surely. I have never been told complementary therapy is for adults only as I know a lot of peole use remedies on their children.....
Someone must know of something???

Most complementary therapies could be suitable for children but are concerned with the root cause of the condition.-They aren'treally suitable for'damping down' or suppressing symptoms in the way that conventional medicine might do.Perhaps hewould benefit from professional treatment as opposed to an 'off the counter' remedy so that there could be the opportunity to really work out what's going on and why he's like this. Have you considred flower essences? They will work with the underlying emotional imbalance and restore peace and harmony.

You may like to do a search on indigo essences for children, or you may pm me, I spend a lot of time making up flower and gem essences for people and animals.

P.S You may also like to think about getting him a fairly big piece of rose quartz and place it in his bedroom, very calming and soothing.

Have you considered consulting a nutritional therapist?

There has been a lot of research done in this field on mental health, including hyperactivity, which shows that the correct diet and supplements can help a lot.

Yes I was thinking this too. There's an indigo essence called chill that might help.
Helps me with my rather bossy cross (but very affectionate) leo indigo boy!
