Hello there,
I am looking for some advice on raspberry leaf. Im 36 weeks pregnant with my third baby. My first baby was born by c-section when i didnt take raspberry leaf, but my second was born naturally and quickly after taking them from 36 weeks. Im absolutly convinced they helped!

I have been searching online, but can not find anything difinitive at all with regards of a dosage.

I have bought capsules (im not a fan of the tea) which are 425mg each, and the bottle states take 2 daily.
Having looked at the holland and barret website at their products, they sell 400mg tablets and say 3 to 6 daily!

This is quite a huge dosage difference from 850mg on one product to 2400mg on another.

Can anyone advise me please, and advise on how to build up the dosage too?

Thankyou very much!

Hi Chicken - welcome to HP.

My personal experience with Raspberry leaf is that it needs to be either the tea or a tincture. You can pretty much take as much as you like.

The reason for either tincture or tea is that the "goodness", "synergy", "active ingredients" or whatever, need to be activated by infusion and I think you'll find the capsules are nothing like as effective for that reason.

Personally, I very much liked raspberry leaf tea when I needed it, but not so much now I don't. Tincture is quite convenient - you can add several drops to water, or to a herb tea that you do like.

Hi, thankyou for your reply.

Unfortunatly i dont drink tea of any sort at all - not even a bog standard pg tips brew! Im a water or squash only person.

So the capsules are my only option really.

Any idea on dosage?

You can add the tincture to water or squash if you like. As often as you like.
