Propolis. and vitimanC, and multi Dophilus If no improvment looks like another op to remove plate and reinsert another one, any help to as anything else i could try

Hi Fusion,
Gosh - poor you! If you'd care to PM me with details of what the discharge is like from the wound and your other symptoms (pain, appearance of the wound edges etc) I'll suggest something to help & thereby avoid further surgery. Might be a bit too graphic for the HP page!
Best wishes

Hi Fusion, I'm sorry to hear your wound isn't healing, glad you're using Manuka honey, are you applying it over the wound?

For anyone that's interested, here is a wonderful article on the healing benefits of Manuka honey.

HI

Well since i posted things have improved vastly, the wound is closing and the discharge has nearly stopped, i actually put the Manuka Honey directly in the wound it was that big still using garlic vit E vit C
and the propolis and also started on green tea tabs, had consultation with surgeon yeterday, he was suprised told him what i was using? he did say that he could recall reading some article about the honey, got to go back in 3 weeks, he still has his doubts if plate will have to come out but said i had a good chance? i think i may be lucky strange thing i never had much pain? keep my fingers crossed;)

Thank you for replies

Best Wishes

Hi Fusion, That's wonderful news.

Have you checked out the link I posted on the honey, might be an idea if you print it off and take with you when you go back and see your doctor. He may be more inclined to suggest it to other patients if he can read the research that has been done on it, and the wonderful benefits of it. Just an idea!
