I had a full hysterectomy 5 years ago and have put on a lot of fat in tummy area which has been impossible to shift. After a lot of research I have opted for Liposuction - as I have a severe lower spinal problem, which the added weight makes worse. I've been told all about the opbut would appreciate a little help with a couple of questions.
1. Consultant recommended taking Arnica daily starting 9 days before treatment to help with bruising - however, he was of very little help with the doage. Do I take C6 or C30? I assume I continue after op - any idea for how long? When I had hysterectomy, it was recommended that I alternate with Phosphorous (my constitution) every few hours - any comments?
2. I will have to wear a garment similar to cycle shorts 24/7 for 6 weeks!!! This is worrying me more than the op - as it will be in the height of the summer - fish comes to mind. Has anyone else experienced this and are there any suggestions on how to handle this somewhat smelly problem.[:'(][:'(][:'(]
3. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
RE: Liposuction -help please
Hi Gilliebean,
I see you haven't got a reply yet. Although demand for liposuction increases, probably it is not that frequent so far.
I wish I could help more, but I can only suggest to read this article about liposuction
RE: Liposuction -help please
Hi Kath, thanks for the info - but I've chickened out . It wasn't the op so much, but the having to wear the equivalent of cycle shorts compression garment - 24/7 for at least 6 weeks. The thought of the overpowering smell of fish - if you get my jist - made me change my mind. As well as the fact that I can find a far better use for the 4 thousand pounds, especially since we recently moved house and doing it up is gobbling up the cash!!
Thanks again,
Love and hugs

RE: Liposuction -help please
Maybe the time just wasnt right for you, and in the future you will feel differently. Or even be able to arrange the op for in the winter to avoid feeling so paranoid about the compression garment. But now obviously isnt the right time, so dont think of it as chickening out, more a sensible and well-thought out decision.
Good luck with the house!
Claire
RE: Liposuction -help please
No Claire - thats it - its against my principles and my teachings. I always teach my students to love themselves as they are - not as they want to be. I never felt happy with the idea, and I think the cycle shorts were just an excuse for me to say no.
