Hi,
Could anyone recommend anyherbal remedies to help prevent anxiety for my massage client?? I've heard about st johns wort, but think that may be more for depression though.
Any advise would be great!!

bach's rescue remedy is suppose to be great for anxiety! It's a herbal flower infusion which goes under the tongue.. 🙂 works in minutes!

Flower essences are very good - take a look at [link= http://www.crystalherbs.com ]www.crystalherbs.com[/link] They have an extensive selection and you can choose from the combinations for self-treatment. eg 'inner peace' or 'relaxation' might both be appropriate for anxiety.

i can definately vouch for the bach flower remedies.. i'm currently taking larch and it really has made the world of difference.. your client would be best off taking either mimulus or aspen (according to the website)

At the first signs of stress and anxiety, it’s important to take time out to relax. Breathing deeply and trying to relax yourself in spite of any stressful situations you might be dealing with at the time. Try to set aside at least 10 minutes an hour, especially while working to relax. You’ll find that you’ll work more productively and you’ll keep the stress and anxiety from building up.
Limit your caffeine intake to no more than 2 or 3 beverages a week. Larger quantities can hinder normal body functions and increase stress.
Frequent exercise can also help reduce anxiety. Exercise helps reduce the edgy feeling and keep you feeling fresh and motivated, ready to take on the challenge instead of letting it cause you worry or anxiety.
