Hello

I have decided to give up NHS work for a while and concentrate on more family life, myself and a new direction. I wanted to go back to uni I had to give up Midwifery due to my son being very ill. I had noticed this degree a while back and wanted to do it but I was not in the right frame of mind to make such a huge life change. I applied late but got offered an interview for a BSc Hons course in Medical Herbalism. Then I got told there was only 1 place left and due to fee's going up next year there was 4 more applicants. The good news was that I got the place and I start in September. I am so looking forward to starting and the hours are much much less than Midwifery so I get to sort out my son (also has autism). My daughter and son as well are in college and final year of school so I can be home to aid them in their journey when they need me.

I am just finishing my Crystal healing diploma and I do Reiki so I may even start a little business to aid my herbal studies.

I will go to do Midwifery one day as it is always been something I have wanted to do but I will be waiting till the children are sorted before embarking down that road again.

Keep well and Many Blessings

Helen x

Hi Severena - welcome from a fellow E Yorks HPer!! Where are you based, I'm near Driffield?

Where are you going to be doing your degree in Medical Herbalism? Sounds super. Our lecturer at college for herbs was brilliant - I think she was at the Uni of Westminster. i'm sure you'll find it fascinating. Wishing you all the best with it.
