what do you mean by 'designer' ? I wouldn't use anything other than good quality essential oils, and you should really consult an aromatherapist for some basic guidelines (and to do sniff and skin-patch tests!)

What i ment by designer fragrance oils were fragrances to add to your products that smell like a disgner perfume. I have found a company in spain that sell them along with loads of other natural products all for cosmetic use but was wondering if there was anywhere over here that did them for me to experiment with. I will also be using essential oils too as been as i am trained aromatherapist.

I'd be very interested in the company you have found in Spain for natural products as I can't find any, and I live in Spain!! I have to have everything sent over from the UK.

Designer fragrance oils won't be natural though, they will be synthetic. I only use essential oils for that reason.

That's what I thought, Annax - usually these are referred to as 'nature identical'. I know that the top designer perfumiers use really excellent oils - my tutor used to have a contact in the industry, but no way would they give away their blend recipies (shame!) so lots of companies make 'look-alikes'. I've tried a few in the past, and whilst the inital impression is good, the result a few hours later is not!

I think why not take Jo Malone's route and come up with some really excellent new blends with the best oils. Came accross May Chang recently - like lemon sherbet: yum!

INSPIRED AROMAS - Designer Fragrance Oils For SALE

SUPERIOR QUALITY FRAGRANCE OILS AT LOW PRICES - 1.6oz/5ml

Inspired Aromas fragrance oils are of the finest quality. Each glass bottle contains 100% pure perfume/cologne that compares to the fragrances they represent.

DESIGNER BRAND SPRAY PERFUMES AND COLOGNES

Designer brand perfumes and colognes consist of 15%-30% concentrated fragrance oil compound and 75%-85% alcohol & water. Alcohol will make the oil evaporate 10-15 times more quickly and will also dry out your skin. Adding alcohol gives the impression that the perfume is considerably stronger than it actually is. That is why, when you first put on a commercial fragrance, the aroma may sometimes seem overwhelming to those around you and then the scent fades dramatically within two hours.

OUR FRAGRANCE OILS

Please, DO NOT compare our oils to cheap quality fragrance oils. Inspired Aromas vary tremendously in quality. The oil has to carry the same notes as in the original designer for it to have the same scent, and there has to be a high percentage of concentrated fragrance compound in the oil to make it strong. A 6ml bottle of concentrated fragrance oil will last much longer than a large bottle of the actual designer perfume. With every day use a 6ml bottle of our fragrance oil may last for as long as 3-6 months. Calculate your savings!!!
