I can't believe what you can do with some simple stuff like baking soda and vinegar. Until few days ago, all I did with vinegar is to clean my water boiler from lime scale and use baking soda for heartburn - as described in this link. Then I was discovering the whole world of other uses: baking, cleaning, drains, for hair and teeth, and so on..

Do you use baking soda and vinegar as natural remedies in any way? This mentioned site about baking soda and vinegar uses seems pretty informative, but no comments on the articles showed so far, so I am interested if someone has tried anything like that.

Whilst I favour natural products where possible (as opposed to commercial ones), some precautions should be noted in taking baking soda with certain conditions....

Of course, baking soda belongs to the antacid group, and it is always best to consult a physician before deciding to take is as a medicine.

I use white vinegar for most of my household cleaning. A couple of capfuls topped up with water in a spray bottle for surfaces, glass etc, or neat for removing limescale.
It's effective, doesn't smell much and best of all, it's CHEAP :nature-smiley-008:

My favourite website for natural remedies, Earthclinic.com (it's all user reviews so it's not commercial in any way) has a multitude of uses for baking soda and vinegar. I use it to do deep cleanses on my hair once in a while (I have dreadlocks).

Many people take a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in water every day, it's good for many conditions, including coughs and high cholesterol...

I use baking soda for my face and hair. It is a great exfoliator and will also remove buildup of products on the hair.

Baking soda is staple in many homes for baking and cleaning purposes. I know some wonderful uses for baking soda. For instance, it can used as non-fluoride toothpastes. You can also make a spa soak for your feet. For hand wash dishes pots and pans. You can use it for cleaning dirt and grime or cleaning floors. And my favorite use of baking soda, you can use it for cleaning cars. Thank you for sharing this topic! 🙂

Baking soda, when mixed with water to make a paste, is excellent remedy for insect bites. Neat white vinegar is great for cleaning limescale.

The story is very interesting, however I dont think I could rely on Baking soda as a natural remedy for stage 4 prostrate cancer. However it does make you wonder how this man survived five years later with just baking soda and molasses. This needs further investigation. Thank you for bringing the story to my attention.

My wife uses apple cider vinegar for her hair. It's like conditioner or something.

Well, still I have not applied this remedy in my case. Will apply when I will feel heartburn. Though I have natural remedies like "Lean N Clean®" that helps me somehow. I believe treating by natural remedy is best way.
