Hi, please help me with a couple of problems if you know about homepathy. I'm having treatment and am really.. well, confused about a few things.
- My homeopath didn't tell me about NOT having peppermint products during treatment. I've had tea & aromatherapy lotion all along. And so atshma & allergies persist. Now after telling her about this she thinks it's because I jogged and that I should not jogg anymore. Or only jogg on my toes. As if she ignored the fact that she hasn't told me about peppermint and that I've used it a lot.
-I was also told to bin my brown inhaler and only use the blue "immediate help"-one when I have asthma. But today's asthma attack was very severe and I nearly stopped breathing. I know ordinary GP' say that one should never ever stop using their brown inhaler, even if the symptoms of asthma went away..
-I was told to stay on a no-carb no-sugar diet for 2 weeks. Now it's been a month and I still have to be on it. Isn't it propably that my problems persist because of using the bloody peppermint stuff???

RE: anyone with homepathy knowledge help!
Some Homeopaths are stricter than others on the issues of Tea, Coffee, Alcohol, Peppermint, etc. Some say that they should be avoided totally & others that you should avoid for 30 minutes (or more) before & after taking the remedy.
I have a preference for a Classical Homeopathy myself, as they have studied the subject longer & their methods make more sense to me. The homeopath that we have at the Holistic Centre is a classical one & has provided info on the Centre's website. By all means take a look (link below), but I don't think these issues are mentioned, but there links to other homeopathic sites on there.
With regard to your inhalers - I am not a fan of them myself, but until you are significantly better then it seems innappropriate for you to be advised not to use them. It depends how they actually said it? If they just said bin it, then it that would be innappropriate, unprofessional & could be dangerous. [:o]
With respect to your jogging - I would say, so long as your not overdoing it, then you would do better to continue. The benefits are much more likely to out weigh the detriments. 🙂
Regarding the low carb & sugar diet, then this may well be appropriate, as they may suspect that you have a problem with Candida or other parasitic yeasts. Have talked about these on various Forums under Ailments, if you want to know more on that. 😉

RE: anyone with homepathy knowledge help!
I'm with you on this one - be sure to go to a classical and registered homoeopath - they work to a strict code of professional practice and administer homoeopathy as it was meant to be given! Can I suggest you look on the Society of Homeopaths website where you'll be able to look for a registered practitioner in your area. 😉
Good luck as asthma does well with homoeopathy that is correctly prescribed - and this includes patient care issues such as things to avoid. I'll try to pm you the list of stuff to avoid while taking homoeopathy - then you'll be aware!
Hope this helps

Just had to look this up on own website if you can believe that - doh! 😀
There's a few more links on there, but hey - it's work in progress!
This will take you straight to homeopathic links page:-

Hi ... the Society has a new website in the making, and it will soon be much easier to search for a practitioner in your area, or any area for that matter 😀 ....
