Synchronicity !
Hi there,
I haven't logged onto Healthy Pages for about a year until this morning and when i do i see my name there on the home page !
I am Neil French, a Clinical Psychologist working in the field of Clinical Hypnotherapy but not the Neil French you are referring to although i am aware of his work.
A copy of his book is available for sale on ebay but there is much better and more up to date literature available.
I posted this reply partly as an interesteing experience of synchronicity which happens all the time but we don't often recognise it or acknowledge
it.
Good luck .
Neil French.
Neil French
My name is Neil French. As you can read from the post above, by an amazing coincidence a hypnotherapist also called Neil French responded to her. He has said he had heard of my work, but surprisingly I had not been aware of him. However, to the lady member I would point out that I am now in fact retired and living in Spain so the other Neil French has the field to himself.
I know this thread is a bit out of date, and this response is off-topic, but I had to laugh. It reminds me of monty python....
"I'm Brian!"
"No! I'm Brian!"
"No! He's Brian!"
So... to both Neils... welcome, good health, and good luck to those who are practicing hypnotherapy and those who aren't.
😉
All Love and Reiki Hugs
Hi,
My name is neither Neil French or Brian.
My only interest in this thread is to say that during the 90's I spent two weeks with Neil French (the second Neil French to post on this thread, now retired), on Neil's residential Hypnotherapy training course at Bournemouth.
The course was expertly compiled, interesting, effective, and thorough and delivered by Neil with an authority and competence that I hadn't seen before - or since. In short, a very enjoyable two weeks in the company of a true authority in this field. I still have all of your course notes Neil (amply annotated with post-its etc.), and also your original tapes. I still review and read/listen to your original course material from time to time. I consider it to be a great loss to the field of psychoanalaysis and psychotherapy that Neil has now retired and is now no longer teaching his excellent original material.
I really cannot thank Neil enough for his training. It was a very enjoyable, useful and worthwhile course; I learned so much.
Please do enjoy your retirement in sunny Spain Neil - you've earnt it !
Regarding the original request for a copy of Neil's book, Successful Hypnotherapy. I do have a copy, but unfortunately for you I still refer to it from time to time so I am not in a position to help you out at this time. Good luck with tracking down a copy. Should you find one, look after it. Should you put Neil's ideas expounded in the book into practice you will be surprised at how well Neil has described this particular form of therapy.
