Just read today that Gary Craig is retiring!!! He is retiring in January and emofree.com will be shut down then. Full story is on his blog:

The website is such a valuable resource, I shall miss it dearly.

I will be forever grateful for learning EFT and being able to teach it to my clients.

Huge thanks, respect and love to Gary for his courage, dedication and committment in bringing us EFT.

I wish him a wonderful retirement.

Gary Craig Retires

I am so grateful to Gary and EFT. The future is exciting and challenging all at once. What are your thoughts? What do you think will happen with EFT in the UK? What do you want to happen? 🙂

From what I know, AAMET (Association for Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques) is working hard on becoming a professional body to support and develop EFT and its practitioners in the UK (and beyond). Also, there is a small EFT Research group and some other active groups working in the background, with EFT gathering more momentum in the UK.

I really do envisage EFT being recommended by National Institute for Clinical Excellence in not too distant future (OK, I may be overoptimistic - perhaps 7-10 years) as a treatment of choice for anxiety, PTSD, addictions, sleep disorders, pain management etc.

So big thanks to Gary for his creativity and generosity - and I hope we will take EFT even further!

I must admit that this news came as a huge shock to me, as I'd always imagined that emofree.com, the DVD's, etc would continue as long as Gary was alive, and then his 'team' (of which his daughter is a part) would take over. I never thought of emofree.com shutting down completely and all those wonderful articles being lost, and that saddens me.

I can see on Gary's blog post there are coming up to 1000 comments are many have asked for the emofree articles to be saved in some form, as it such a wonderful resource to refer to. I hope this is possible.

As EFT is so huge throughout the world now, I think it's been easy to forget that it is essentially run by a single man, and if he wants to retire than this is of course his perogative. I will be forever thankful for his hard work in spreading the word about EFT, as it massively changed my life and those of my clients, friends and family.

And do you know where I first discovered EFT? Right here on Healthy Pages! I very kind man called Jonathan offered me a free session to overcome my fear of public speaking (cured in 20 mins over the phone!) and I never looked back. 🙂

Well, it was a shock, but fully understandable based on what Gary says.

Very generous of him to allow us all to continue to use the EFT name, so at least we're not going to be in the same boat as everyone was with Sekhem when Helen Belot stepped down and took the name with her.

I agree that emofree.com has been a most valuable resource and it would be fantastic if at least an archive of the articles could be maintained, even if the business and training side isn't.

A few of you have mentioned how valuable the emofree website has been as a resource. I thought you might like to hear about this wonderful new EFT resource.

A few EFT practitioners (Jade Barbee, Betty Moore-Hafter, Carna Zacharias-Miller and Lynne Shaner) have set up a free resource for publishing new articles on EFT. It's intended to support our continuing learning from each other. Anyone can submit articles to the site. The author retains copyright. You can sign up for a bi-weekly newsletter to hear about the latest articles or via an RSS feed.

The team seem to be doing a good job of highlighting the core principles we have
grown with in our EFT training (there is an article collating these for example), as well as providing a platform for the community to continue sharing its innovations.

I've loved learning from many of the articles shared through Gary Craig's website over the years. I feel grateful to him for the openness with which he has shared EFT. The spirit of this new service feels like it's in a similar vein.

The new site does look wonderful Sejual, and I am also encouraged by what Gary Craig was saying in his interview within the recent Gary Craig Tribute, as he sounded like he really wants to keep emofree on if at all possible. So fingers crossed!

Am really pleased to have an article published on this new site here - - about a lovely example from one of my students of using EFT with metaphor/imagery.

There is also another useful new EFT resouces site,

New website to replace Gary's emofree.com

Hi all tappers,

The new website which has now replaced Gary Craig's old - it seems to have moved most of the info from emofree and looks pretty similar, so we are not losing that fabulous resource after all!

The emofree Forums have now moved to the EFT Masters website here:

Also good news of the release of the long awaited film Operation: Emotional Freedom on EFT for traumatised war veterans - this can be bought on DVD for around $20, or via pay-per-view on the internet.

Thanks for posting Masha - I was going to but have been busy elsewhere! I am so glad we shall still have the resources available on Gary's site - excellent news!

There is also an excellent resource for articles at that you can submit articles to. Some of the old articles have reappeared on there and I find it a wealth of useful information.
