Hi everyone,
I have a client who has asked me for some advice on how to improve the quality of his sleep, he dose not have a problem going off to sleep, but then he wakes up quite often throughout the night and this leaves him feelin very tired during the day.
He is middle aged and has retired early but he is often very active during the day. He has a healthy diet and does not drink much alcohol.
I would greatly appreciate any advice that I could pass on to him.
Many thanks:)
Hi,
It might be worth checking out the possibility of sleep apnoea. Ask him to mention it to his GP, or check out the website at [DLMURL] http://www.sleep-apnoea-trust.org/sleep-apnoea-information.php [/DLMURL]
Hope this helps.
Regards
Andy.

here is a relative to your question Yahoo answer.
Hope it will give you some useful tips 🙂
I don't know about remedies except ones already stated, but I know that disturbed sleep (rather than having trouble getting to sleep) can be a result of stress and underlying issues which may need to be brought up before things can improve. It could be worth asking him if he is stressed or unhappy about anything in his life at the moment?
can be also linked to poor sleep posture causing discomfort which wakes you up

Just a thought-sometimes the body gets cold which wakes you up-I have sometimes found wrapping a thin blanket round me -almost mummy style helps. it keeps the heat in and helps you relax and sleep better!
