Hi, I have had a request from a client who is recovering from shingles (21/2 weeks into recovery). I have never massaged someone with shingles so I am not sure on the recovery/contagious side of it.

Any help would be gratefully received 😀

I've seen lots of people with shingles over the years - mainly developed as part of cancer treatment. I do not do body massage if there is the slightest post-herpetic neuralgia - and clients would possibly bite me if I touched a sensitive area!!! I usually opt for reflexology, until such time as the affected area is completely healed and non-reactive.

Thanks Jabba, I have persuaded my client to go for reflexology instead.
