I've been emailed an invitation to subscribe to Massage World magazine. I'd never heard of it before... any subscribers here? Anyone recommend it?

Hi I subscribed for a year - although very informative I just found it not that helpful for the work I tend to do in massage - I usually buy an american magazine called Massage and Bodywork - it comes out every two months and is available via Borders books - although its costs approx £5 per edition - I always refer back to the articles and found it a great help. All the best

I really like massage world magazine. I think it is the best on offer for the UK market and there are always at least a couple of good articles every issue.

I think it is £20 for students and £25 for non students per year (i could be wrong!) which IMO is great value in this day and age!

Go for it, the worst it can do is give you a good read and won't exactly break the bank.

I don't subscribe to Massage World magazine as I tend to buy back copies from their stand at events like professional beauty. They do have useful articles and so I tend to keep hold of them.

Today's Therapist is another UK magazine - I get if free at the moment not sure if it's due to the professional body I'm registered with.

I also buy the Ameican massage magazine Massage & Body Work and occasionally Massage Magazine.

i agree with essence99, Massage World is a great magazine, as is Todays Therapist (which you can also view online).

I used to subscribe to Todays Therapist and Massage World, but since I'm earning less than I was since changing jobs I had to lose one. I kept on with Massage World purely because that's what I do, massage. Todays Therapist is very good, but it contains a lot of articles that although interesting, are not relevant to what I do.

I've not heard of Massage and Bodywork. Looks like I might be making a trip to Borders tomorrow!

With Massage & Bodywork you can see the contents on their website and a selection of the leading articles from both the current and back issues.

I went to Borders and bought Massage and Bodywork and also a magazine, another US import, called Massage. I haven't had a chance to read either yet. After I picked the magazines up I just had a wonder around Borders and ended up spending £52! Still, money well spent as it's all in the name of my craft. 🙂

I actually renewed my subscription to Massage World this weekend at Professional Beauty North. 🙂 Also picked up four free back-issues for the pleasure. 🙂
