I have often wondered what % of people prefer massages naked or with underwear on so have decided to carry out this survey.
Could users please answer the following or direct me to where i can find such details, many thanks.
1) What % of your clients keep their undies on during a massage, what % prefer nude but covered in a towel, and what % are happiest being massaged whilst completely naked?
2) Is there any difference in % between male and female clients? (also are you male or female)
3) Have you detected any shift in %s (i suspect that more people nowadays prefer nude).
Personally. on my first experience of a massage i kept my undies on but the lady still pulled them down during the treatment so next time i went naked and found it a lot more comfortable an experience so since then i have firmly been in the Nude camp.
Am i in the majority or the minority/ Alistair.
I think we can safely say that bodies are normal. As far as I know there is no known case of a human being not having a body. Since bodies usually have things like buttocks and genitals, I expect doctors and bodyworkers to be comfortable with that.

I have been getting massages since 2012. Since 2003, I have been dealing with an autoimmune disease, and massage has helped me a lot. As a medical professional for 40+ years, I have seen a lot of nudity taking care of patients. I never thought much about it as it was clinically necessary. Then since 2012, the tables were turned and I have had upteen exams and surgeries and attended mostly by female health professionals. This helped me accept the nudity involved in massage therapy. I generally am covered by a sheet or a towel. I has recently been going to an Asian massage therapist and she combines both Western and Asian massage. She is very professional and no hanky panky involved. She usually uncovers my buttocks so she can have long firms hand pressure from the back down to the glutes. No towel is in the way to move around. I do not see the need to be covered. In Germany last year, I had my first nude massage by a female therapist. I laid on the table, after undressing in her presence. I was not covered with a towel. This turned out to be one of the best massages I have ever had. Nothing sexual about it. I think to drape or undrape should be the choice of the client, as long as nothing sexual is intended.
naked what's the big thing were just talking about a massage had lots of massage time if I am happy with it that's the many thing had 2 and 4 hand massage and was used as a training mode to teach ladies how to massage and was always nude but I would not go to a man its about me seen a new lady this week just strip of noting to be ashamed of is there and when it did pop up we both had a laugh about it I was so relax or they will just ignore it I don't think you can be massage covered it stops them long stokes that are so pleasurable its up to you and what you feel safe with noting dirty about it
I prefer to give or receive massage nude - I find it natural and much more enjoyable. Some clients are happy this way, others prefer to wear undies - which is their choice.
I sometimes get to do massage exchanges, some with partners that have been trained via ITEC, VTCT or FHT - bodies that seem to think that they know everything about massage, the end result being that the majority of their massage therapists get a very thorough conditioning (brainwashing) with all sorts of what I consider to be stupidities surrounding the use of towels. It all comes under the high sounding title of "Protecting Modesty" or something like that.
I see this as a re-inforcement of a mental illness surrounding the body and pleasure that has plagued Europe since the Christian era.

I'm a 25+ guy from India and I had never gotten a massage before till a few days back and had been wanting to experience it for sometime after having heard of it's benefits.
So I went to this Traditional Thai Spa and chose the Aromatherapy massage - "This gentle massage treatment uses the properties of natural aromatic oils"
I was not asked my preference for a male or female therapist. Infact, I later came to know that all the therapists there were female. So after going into the room and listening to the instructions of the female therapist, I undressed till my underwear (as I wasn't sure if I had to take off everything - personally as well, I wanted to keep my underwear on as I like my own private space kept private)
So as the massage treatment started and it was back first - it was all okay at first. Few minutes later, the therapist was literally on top of me i.e. sitting on my lower back/glutes to massage my back. I found this pretty surprising. Next she moved down to take off my underwear (she noticed that I was still wearing my own) and asked me why I didn't change into the one she had left earlier. I didn't understand her accent too well as she wasn't Indian and I had obviously missed that instruction earlier. So, I quickly got up and was confused at first if I should just change right in front of her as she was right there looking at me. I was like okay - let's just do this and changed right then (pretty pointless as it was going to be taken off minutes later and never put back throughout the rest off the session)
So again we resumed, she got on top off me (my lower back / glutes), proceedeed to take off my underwear and started working on my glutes. We got chatting and she mentioned that she's from Bangkok and recently moved to India (again this had me surprised).
She then moved to my hamstrings and calves and was now standing normally. Throughout the forward and back motion - she kept massaging my inner thighs as well and I swear she would glance/make contact with my balls everytime through that motion - which obviously made me aroused but also uncomfortable at the same time. Every time she would get close - almost like my antennas would go up and my legs would become super rigid/flexed. I'm sure she could sense that wasn't normal for most clients. Anyway - she continued and then moved to the front. Same thing with the legs again - when massaging my inner thighs - would have made contact with my balls multiple times (btw I tried this later myself and realized if you're going to massage all the way up the legs you'll automatically be touching/making contact with the private parts)
So the massage got over and I went for the steam and shower. The therapist was right there outside the transparent door and when I came out she handed me a towel. (I'm not married yet - but I would only ever be so comfortable up close and nude with my wife). After changing and cracking a couple of jokes, it was over.
This massage parlor is ranked amongst the top #5 places for a massage on tripadvisor in my city (one of the metropolitan cities in India) and it's pretty expensive in Rs. for a massage as well. The ambience and overall infrastructure of the place is also pretty good.
Now I want to know if my first experience of a massage was totally normal or I ended up going to some slutty massage parlor?
Will say this to end - The therapist was pretty attractive and if I knew my experience (assuming a shady massage parlor) was going to be like this, I may have even enjoyed it from the word go.

In my opinion the full body massage has to be receive with complete nude.
And i prefer the same.
This gives the hand movement freely and feel relaxing.
Certianly nudist massage is nothing to do with sex. Thought it will have a sensual touches but if u relax and concetrate on massage, temptation will calm down.
I had few nudist massage exchanges and never involved in sex.
It also depends on your mind control.

I am a female in my mid 40's. I've been getting regular massages because of health reasons for some time now.
I used to wear underwear but after a while I started wearing thongs if my therapist is male. And nothing at all if my therapist is a female.
I agree with others the massage feels great if you are completely nude.
I would like to get a massage in the nude from male therapists as well but not sure if it's ok.
Any recommendations? Especially from male therapists.
It's funny how this subject keeps cropping up! Surely it is up to the client. I am a mobile masseur and treat mainly female clients, I always instruct my clients to turn up the heating and always present a covered couch with plenty of towels. However, I also give the clients a clear choice before the massage begins. I explain how I will start the massage on the back and shoulders then progress to the glutes and legs. I also perform 3 types of chest massage which includes the MLD style, normal chest massage and just the top of the chest if they prefer to be covered up giving them the choice at the start of the treatment.
It is up to my clients how they receive the massage - most of them (90-95%) have the glutes and full chest massage and are naked under towels. I give the choice but only about 5% prefer to be uncovered.
If you ask me how I prefer to be massaged the answer will be naked and uncovered but I would never do anything to make my clients feel uncomfortable, hence I give them the choice. After all, they pay my bills and 98% of them book monthly sessions year after year.

We trained to keep the client covered. Including for protection - the therapist and client. Nothing about nudity.
70% of my clients keep underwear on, the rest are nude.
As for me - I do not care nude or in panties. They are covered and prior the treatments they are informed where, what, how and why I will massage particular areas. But I automatically always ask during the treatment if I can touch some areas, just to be sure and secure them. Who knows, they may change mind.
All depends on type of treatment and massage type. Usually I combine osteo, chiro, massage, soft tissue work and other modalities, usually 5-7 modalities, so my clients have no chance to sleep)
Once I even was asked ‘can we please repeat how it was done last week ‘, omg , thanks I have profile and I can read what I did, but in general each client and each treatment has own routine and never repeated.....
