Hi all

Is there anyone out there that is a therapist in the Hydrotherm technique? I would love to be able to discuss and swap tips.
I am situated in Cheltenham, glos and would love to hear from other therapists.
Thanks,

I use Hydrotherm - not often, but when I do, I enjoy doing it!

Hi Jabba

That's great to hear! How come you don't use it more? Do you go between different treatments?

I don't take it on home visits, which I do 3 days a week, and the majority of my time is taken up with manual lymph drainage for lymphoedema - hydrotherm treatments take a bit of planning, and I generally incorporate them in to a 'treat' session, using a body wrap!

Aah I see!
Yes I have my couch set up with the cushions permanently..so all my treatments are done on the system...
Do you fill the cushions as no when you need them? Hence the planning?
Also, have you had any problems with the seams leaking?

My cushions only seem to last about 6 months before the seams start to leak! Luckily I have them under warranty..but is frustrating..I guess my cushions are under more wear and tear..however I feel they should be a bit more sturdy..

Having said that I love the system.. 🙂

I hadn't heard of this before so I just Googled it out of curiosity. The system looks great and the company is only 15 miles up the road from me.

Do you charge extra for a hydrotherm massage or is it just included in your prices?

Hi Steve

Yes I charge a higher price than traditional massage done on a couch. I originally trained as a clinical aromatherapist. However when I came across this system I loved it.

I converted all my clients over to this system, they love it and prefer it to traditional massage.

With existing clients I kept my prices the same and slowly increased it over each year. However they still pay a lesser price than new clients.

Because of the uniqueness of this system and the fact I can do all my beauty treatments on it to I do charge slightly more however I have to say everyone who lays on the warm cushions, regardless of what treatment they are having, absolutely love it and are happy to pay my prices..even waxing becomes a relaxing less traumatic experience!
