Does anyone know where I can get a massage couch heater from?

I use a single bed heated under blanket on my massage couch. I think the one I have is made by Dreamland and it has 5 settings. Slumberland is another brand. I bought mine in a House of Fraser store.

I did notice that have table warmers for £39.99.

I also use a single bed underblanket. Got mine from Argos for €30.00. My clients love it. Tara

Thanks for this - how suitable are single bed electric blankets for massage using oils? Thanks for the Massage Warehouse link, Essence99, it looks promising.

Not got one myself but have been on the receiving end 🙂 of a small electric blanket from Lidl, very nice too. Think they did do 2 sizes the smaller one about £9 and the larger approx £13 would have to find one of Lidl's store's that keep old stock. There is a store in Maidstone, Kent who did have some in stock but that was before Xmas, wish I'd brought one now with this cold weather.

I cover the electric blanket with a couch cover and then couch roll paper. No oil gets onto it. It can be washed but I've not done this yet.

I cover mine also with a toweling couch cover(holds it in place) and than a towel and paper towel. I've has it a couple of year's. No oil damage.

The heated underblanket sounds a really good idea especially in these sub zero temperatures we have been having. The Lidl price is incredibly cheap - I will have to get one as having cold clients is one way of getting rid of them.

Yes good ideas all - I shall go to our nearby Lidl on tuesday to see if they've got one. Many thanks.

I agree that a snuggley warm couch is nice in winter. BUT I'm wairy of electro-magnetic fields that may be ascociated with an electric blanket?
Any healers with an opinion on this?

Yes that's another consideration at the back of my mind.

heated blanket

What about insurance? I read somewhere that using a domestic blanket may nullify one;s insurance? Is this true because I really don't want to fork out when I can buy a good, cheap domestic blanket?!

I haven't heard that before, I will check with my insurer as I just have a single electric underblanket on my couch
