Just moved to the Uk from Australia and I am stuck as to where to go for massage oil. I usually use a beautiful, light water dispersible oil that washes out of the sheets and towels easily. Is there anything like this available in the UK?

Cheers, cat

Hi Cat

What is this water dispersible oil made from. I have not heard of it before.

I usually use organic vegetable oil, sunflower with a touch of olive oil added.

dispersible oil

I think that dispersible oils can be rinse off with water. The main advantage of these massage oils is that they do not stain sheets, clothing or towels and therefore they can be washed off easily and save you some money 🙂

Jeeez! That's some expensive oil!! Thanks for the links though, probably exactly what I am looking for.

Out of interest, this is what I have always used:

It is fantastic and yes, the dispersible oils are easily washed off skin and out of towels. Nice and light too. I wonder if it would be cheaper to import it....

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I'd like to know what oils are GM free, that information doesn't seem to be available.

jojoba washes out of sheets very easily compared to other oils, even better than the water dispersible oils I've tried. Jojoba is usually more expensive, though I've found that you need less of it, so it ends up costing only a bit more for a massage medium that washes out easily, clients love the way they don't feel greasy, requires no expensive pre-wash treatments, doesn't go rancid, and no-one has been allergic to it yet that I've heard about from my own experience or places like this message board, not sure if that is just because so few people use jojoba.

Hi

Change the perspective ... certified organic oils/products will be GM free!

Physique Management do water disposable oil. I prefer to use lotion on my players, but I use the water disposable for my Swedish clients.

I have also moved away from the water dispersible oils as well because they didn't do the job as described on the tin! I now use jojoba for all the reasons mentioned by cola. Coconut oil is good for the scalp so I generally us that for IHM.

I wonder if anyone can help me.... I completed the VTCT swedish body massage course around 2 years ago and have not had the time to do much massage since. I would now like to start again but have lost my course notes and dont have a routine list. Does anyone have one that I can Start from?
eg:
Legs - effleurage x 6, picking up x 3
Chest -
Back -
etc

Hope this makes sense!
Nicky
