Hi Guys
Just want to ask a very quick question - does anyone know if learning Thai Massage at Wat Po in Bangkok allows you to work in UK (ie can you get UK insurance for it).
Thanks
Love
RE: Thai Massage at Wat Po
hi sue,
ya'd think so wouldnt you, seeing as wat po is the home of thai massage! (been there... lol... done that, well had one done to me on the beach and my back has never been the same [&o], but thats another story!)
i reckon your best bet is to email your insurance company and others, to see if they do. you'll have it in writing then.
when are you going.... crikey it seems an age ago now that we were talking about my trip and i remember you saying then that you would be going.

Hiya Rosie
Thanks for this. It's actually my other half who wants to learn it - but thanks for the advice, I'll email FHT.
We're going in April (3 weeks) - we'll spend part of it in Bangkok as we have the family memorial to attend - and then it's down to Phuket for a week or so. Really looking forward to a break.
I'll get back on the Footie thread when I get a moment (been really busy at work and my computer at home is playing up at the moment) - and offer my 2penn'th on what's been going on.
Cheers for now
RE: Thai Massage at Wat Po
Hi,
I did my Thai Massage week at Wat Po in January 1995. I was but a wee lad then. My "certificate of achievement" gives me insurance cover with I.P.T.I. who are on the web at IPTIuk.com and the cover is with AXA Insurance plc. Hope this helps.

I did my training at Wat Po and I am insured through IGPP/Embody. I think they require you to have AP&M as well though.
