RE: Thai Massage

One of the American massage journals (either Massage Magazine or Massage & Bodywork) had an article a few months back about Thai massage and training at one of the schools in Thailand with reviews of serveral of the larger ones. It may be worth doing a search on their websites for the article.

RE: Thai Massage

Hi SkyBlue,
I've just found your post & thought I'd share my experiences of learning Thai Massage at the TMC in Chaing Mai with you. I done the 1st & 2nd level course there in May& thought it was fantastic. They have 'westernised' the course as it were to include contraindications etc. Great value for money. They provide you with transport to & from the college (if you are staying in Chaing Mai, which is an awesome city) & a vegetarian lunch which was always lovely, fresh clothes each day & a great book thats easy to follow. The teachers there are brilliant, very good at what they do & they make the lessons very fun. Its a great way to meet people. I have my certificates from there but am unsure of if I can do anything with them here. I think the Wat Pao, Bangkok& The Old Medicine School ( I think in Bangkok) are recognised here but not TMC, which is a great shame...if you hear otherwise please let me know. I hope you find a course that suits you, I love Thai massage & Thailand! I hope to eventually do a Thai massage course here also once I've saved enough money.
Good luck.
love & light
