The title says it all really. I'm not asking for myself, i'm asking for someone already training to be a personal trainer with this company. He mentioned training in sports massage but no mention of needing any prior massage training. I don't see anything recognisable in the qualification either but this isn't really an area i've looked into much.....hence asking here

That is a link to the course....it's very expensive too so wanted to make sure he will be getting his moneys worth.

Thanks in advance for any advice i can pass on xxx

What exactly do you want to know, I am a PT and sports therapist and although I have not done this course I can give you advice as I teach/assess this subject in adult education

Big Gaz, Thanks for replying....i mainly just wanted to make sure that the massage qualification was recognised and that his trust in the course was justified.

its a great course, its one i completed and the tutor was fantastic and very helpful, not sure if he is still there. i did the full time diploma and it gave me the tools to start my career is sports massage it also gave me the confidence to take on other courses and gain more skills that have made me the therapist i am today.

the course (well mine anyway) had clinic days where you got to try your skills on the general public under the eyes of the tutor which was a real bonus the exams are tough which i believe is good, a mix of hands on and paper exams, the full time course is tough and you need to be able to take info on board very quickly or you will fall behind.

the course is good but the one thing i would moan about is once you have finished the course and paid all your money you are forgotten about no help after the course has finished. some courses are much better with their after course treament of the students

this is a real shame because speaking as an ex student (1994) and a ex tutor (2004-2009) this used to be its real strength
Even now i am taking an ex student to work with me @ Download to give her (hopefully) some valuable work experience (and a 'feather' in her CV cap)
