Hello all!

I would like to ask members have they ever used a pregnancy massage table (with built in holes for breasts and bump)

or

have they used a bump bag to massage a pregnant client?

I would like to write an article on them for my website and would apreciate any feedback, any experiences etc as there doesnt seem t be much info out there on the topic.

Hi LuckyG

I use the bump bag - there was a post on here if you search on bellybag or bodycushion.

I find using the bellybag good and my clients love it too. Its a lovely bean bag with a hole in the middle.

I am not sure what other info u want - pm me and i will respond

Hi Rakhee
Thanks for your reply
I did see that post and have searched the forums, many thanks. One question i would like to ask you is dont you find that the bump bag is very low and therfore would be difficult on your posture? how do you get around this?

many thanks

maria

Hi maria

I work with it on the floor and move around on my knees so no i don;t find it a prob. I would be reluctant to have it on the couch as i would be worried that the client might fall off when turning from one side to the other

I can't understand how anyone sells a pregnancy massage table with a hole in it - it's uncomfortable lying across a hole when you are not pregnant, why is it supposed to be comfortable when you are pregnant? The belly bag is a bit of an improvement because you can shape it a bit. Best option IMO is the bodyCushion, fully supported on sternum & hips, approaching being on all fours.

I got my bump bag recently and can't wait to use it!

I need to find a way to cover it so I don't get oil all over it - any ideas?

Also I need to find a way to support the legs as they "dangle" a bit over the edge of the bag. An earlier post suggested putting a pillow and bolster but not sure how this would work...?
